Botox Cosmetic
Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate-to-severe frown lines for a short period of time. At Dermatology Consultants, a board certified dermatologist will listen closely to you and create a plan based on the areas you want to target.
Botox can be used to treat the frown lines between the brows on your forehead, the glabella (also known as the “11?s”) or the crows feet. With just a short visit, you can erase the lines away within a few days, giving you a more youthful but natural appearance that lasts between three and six months.
Here at Dermatology Consultants we customize everything for our patients. We are a National Training Center for ALLERGAN, the makers of Botox Cosmetic, and have also earned Black Diamond status leading the way in cosmetic injections in the country.

Botox can also be used to treat Hyperhidrosis and Migraine Headaches.
Hyperhidrosis is a condition that involves excessive sweating. Hyperhidrosis can be generalized to specific areas of the body; however, any part can be affected. Most commonly affected body parts include the armpits, hands, feet and back, due to a high concentration of sweat glands.
Botox is FDA approved and can be used to greatly reduce or prevent severe sweating. This treatment can see a dramatic reduction in sweating within two to four weeks, and can last up to seven months. Keep in mind that Botox is not appropriate for all sufferers, and our board certified dermatologists will be able to determine if it is the right treatment for you.
Chronic migraine is a debilitating condition characterized by moderate to severe headaches, and nausea. Botox is now FDA approved for injection if indicated for the prophylaxis of headaches in adult patients with chronic migraine (?15 days per month with headache lasting four hours a day or longer).
Juvéderm
Juvéderm XC is a smooth gel filler that is used to smooth away wrinkles around the mouth and nose. This filler is made from Hylacross technology and is infused with lidocaine to create natural feel, but yielding minimal discomfort. This filler can last up to one year, giving patients the youthful appearance they desire. With Juvéderm XC, you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.

What areas can Juvéderm XC treat?
Juvéderm XC can rejuvenate multiple areas on the face. The key areas treated are the smile lines, or “parentheses,” the Marionette lines, or the vertical lines above the lip. Here at Dermatology Consultants, we also can use Juvéderm XC to give the lips a fuller appearance.
How does Juvéderm XC work?
Young, healthy-looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally-hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). As you age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. The lack of HA causes your skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds, like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth.
Using a dermal filler like Juvéderm XC is a safe and effective way to replace the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.
Sculptra Aesthetic
The first of its kind, this injectible provides gradual, subtle results that can last up to two years! Sculptra Aesthetic is made from poly-L-lactic-acid which helps replace lost collagen and correct shallow-to-deep facial wrinkles and folds. This is not a “quick fix” or an overnight miracle. This filler is intended for long-term correction, giving you a more natural looking appearance.
How does Sculptra Aesthetic work?
Sculptra Aesthetic works gradually over the course of a series of treatments—typically three injections over a few months. The number of injection sessions and the number of injections per session vary from person to person.
Sculptra Aesthetic targets the underlying causes of the signs of facial aging. Sculptra Aesthetic is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body as it works to replace lost collagen. Poly-L-lactic acid has been used safely for decades in dissolvable stitches, and as a facial injectible since 1999 in more than 30 countries. It does not contain human, animal or bacterial components, it does not require allergy testing prior to treatment; it does not involve lasers or incisions, and it is absorbed naturally by the body.
