While using a sunscreen with a higher SPF can block slightly more of the sun’s rays, no sunscreen can block all of them”, says Dr. Zwald. “There is no scientific evidence that sunscreen with a higher SPF than 50 can protect you any better than one with an SPF of 50, according to the AAD.”
